MS OFFICE TRUST CENTER SETTINGS
Click, File > Options and get this pop-up (Access), click 'Trust Center':
Then click 'Trust Center Settings' on the mid-right screen.
It will default to 'Message Bar', but changes should be made to the following tabs:
Trusted Locations - Check the box for "Allow Trusted Locations on my network"
ActiveX Settings - Click the radio button for 'Enable all controls...' and uncheck the box for 'Safe mode'
Macro Settings - Click the radio button for 'Enable all macros'
Message Bar - I leave the "Show the Message Bar" button checked, and uncheck "Show Policy Tip"
Click 'Ok' (twice)
For Excel, the above sections are the same, but you also need:
Macro Settings - "Enable VBA macros" radio button and check both boxes
Protected View - Optional to leave the top box checked, but definitely uncheck the other two in thew top section. Check both remaining boxes in each remaining section.
External Content - Click the three 'Enable...' radio buttons and the two boxes below them. Leave the one on the bottom unchecked.
Click 'Ok' twice.
