How to Connect to Cisco Secure Client (AnyConnect VPN)

Description: Follow these steps to connect to the Cisco Secure Client (AnyConnect VPN).


Method 1: How to login to Cisco Anyconnect VPN before logging into the computer:
**This is the preferred method to signing into the VPN**

1. Once at the login screen for your PC, press the "network sign in" Icon in the bottom right

2. Select your locations VPN from the dropdown of options

*Note: If its your first time connecting you will need to specify the address
 - Aurora / Lakeville - auvpn.cpflex.com
 - Buffalo - buvpn.cpflex.com
 - Norcross - norvpn.cpflex.com
 - York / Bristol / FDL - ykvpn.cpflex.com

3. Sign in with your current computer password and approve the authpoint MFA notification sent to your cell phone. Once you approve the notification, click 'accept'


4. That's it! Now just sign into your computer with your password (same one as used for VPN)



Method 2: How to connect to VPN once you are already logged into your computer:
  1. Open the Cisco Secure Client:
    • Open the Windows Search Bar and type "Cisco Secure Client".
    • Right-click on the app from the search results and select "Pin to taskbar" for easy access.
    • Click the app icon on the taskbar to launch it.



2. Select your locations VPN from the list of options:

*Note: If its your first time connecting you will need to specify the address
 - Aurora / Lakeville - auvpn.cpflex.com
 - Buffalo - buvpn.cpflex.com
 - Norcross - norvpn.cpflex.com
 - York / Bristol / FDL - ykvpn.cpflex.com


3. Input your computer username and password:


4. Approve the Sign-in:
    • Click OK.
    • You will receive an AuthPoint notification on your mobile device. Approve the sign-in to connect to the VPN, then click Accept when prompted to complete the connection.

5. Lock your computer:
    • To ensure your shared drives will work and your password is updated, press the Windows key + L to lock your computer.
    • Sign in with your current computer password.
