Master Estimate Creation Process

1.0 PURPOSE
The purpose of this standard operating procedure is to learn how to complete a Master Estimate using CP's standard process.
2.0 SCOPE
This procedure applies to all facilities using Radius.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY
Varies from lactation to location, but generally it involves, Planning, Technical and or Production.
4.0 PROCEDURE
Follow the steps below to complete a Master Estimate.
Accessing
Estimate Menu
1.Find the “Estimating” Menu
2.Click the “Estimate Entry/Amend” option
3.Make sure to set to Master Template
Header
Details
1.Use
Product type Web width x Cutoff #
across (e.g., RU 10 x 12 3A)
2.Enter
the plant name
3.Select
appropriate Product
4.Enter
the customer number
5.Click OK
Web
Details:Standard
1.Click
the Product details option
2.Enter
the general structure in the Product Field
3.If
Item class is Qty set to Roll Products, if class is rolls set to Roll Material
4.Select
Single wound sheet
5.Select
structure selection
6.Enter
finished width and cutoff in both size and open size
7.Enter
# up
8.Click the either of the little blue calculators to Recalculate
9.Enter
# across
10.Enter
repeat A
11.Enter repeat B to match press cylinder size
12.Enter
largest material width as the Web width
13.Click the structure option to add materials
14. Click New
15. Type the item code of the material and press tab on the keyboard to search
16. select it and click okay
17.Enter the width of the material
18.Click Ok
19.Repeat steps as needed until all materials have been added
Packing
Details
20.Click the Packing option
21.Select the correct UOM from the selection based on FG item
22.Enter the Qty per roll/output for the finished product
23.Check the Outers and Pallet boxes
24.Toggle to the Rolls option from the drop down and set to 1
25.Toggle to the Outers option from the drop down and enter the max rolls per pallet
26.Enter the number of outers/rolls per layer
27.Select the correct final rewind
28.Click New to select packing materials such as Pallet
29.Save and Click Ok
1.Click versions option on the tool bar
2.The quantity screen will appear & and enter Qty of 100,000 as a place holder
3.Click Ok
5.0 MATERIALS REQUIRED
